Here's a kick-in-the-pants, motivational article for any of you who might feel (as I often do) that it's hard to just to get started, or it's hard to keep training, or you ask, "Where do I go from here?" I read this article the other night while BJ was watching Angels and Demons (conspiracies are so much better than real life...) and I just knew it (the article) was something to share. And it doesn't matter if you're young, old, older or confused about where you fit in those categories (hey, with fitness you can live in "denial" or "realization" and be totally normal), here is some wisdom and motivation to keep moving the rest of your life.
You Hammer Nutrition people probably already have this piece, but in case you don't, here's a link to the November 2009 issue. Click here: Go Faster-Get Younger Please believe me that it's a modest proposal; not as boastful as its title. My favorite quote: "If you don't feel driven by your goals you are more likely to reach them. Most of the accomplished older athletes I know are not too concerned about their achievements; they just like to play." --Bill Nicolai, in Hammer Nutrition
I love that last phrase: "...they just like to play."
So, keep playing and be well.
That's health insurance anyone can have.
