There’s A Song About That!

Would you say that music has helped get you through hard times?  It wasn’t music in general, but a song that helped you get through, a song that clings to a time in your life.  Have you ever said something like, “Every time I hear that song, it just takes me back”?

That’s the way it is, and that’s the way it was.  The Bible has songs like that—songs about real life, songs for the journey of life, songs of comfort, healing, and strength; songs that recollect a secret powerful Presence; songs because God was good even if life was hard and people were mean.  This is the series of summer messages I'll be sharing at Grace Church of Florence.  The Book of Psalms is the songbook of the Bible.  No matter what it is, there’s music—there’s a song.
